As expected , the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) adopted the report on trade secrets and the compromise amendments drafted by Constance Le Grip (EPP, France) on 16 June, by a large majority of 19 votes in favour, two against and three abstentions.
Negotiations with the Council and the Commission will start in the coming weeks. To recall, the member states had already unanimously adopted a general approach on 26 May.
