Grégory Blachier

Grégory Blachier

Managing Editor, Planet Desk

The transition from sport to public policy was a short stride for me – one I took in November 2022 when I joined Contexte as the co-head of the “Planète” section after seven years at L’Équipe in various roles.

I returned to topics that were part of my daily work at Reuters (2008-2015), where I initially trained on the news and sports desks before transitioning to French current affairs (politics, transport, real estate), European summits and later took on responsibility for macro-economics. I previously worked for other publications (Le Journal du Dimanche, AP News, Le Monde) as a freelancer on various subjects.

I have a degree from the Institute of Political Studies in Grenoble and the CFJ Graduate School of Journalism in Paris.
