The European Parliament will have a budget of €1.838 billion in 2016, compared with €1.794 billion (estimated) in 2015 and €1.737 billion in 2014. The report submitted to the plenary by Gérard Deprez (ALDE, Belgium), a member of the Committee on Budgets (BUDG), was adopted by 397 in favour, 274 against and 20 abstentions. The majority of the GUE-NGL, EFDD, Greens -EFA and non-attached voted against the report.
